Missing persons organization gets renewed hope and urgency
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV)- Representatives from the CUE Center for Missing Persons are looking to the Cleveland, Ohio missing persons case with a sense of renewed hope. They believe if Cleveland had a happy ending maybe it can happen elsewhere.
"It's like WOW," CUE Founder Monica Caison said. "How many other cases out there that you have questioned that you are helping with and that you are involved with for several years. Maybe we were right, maybe here - people are still alive too.
Caison thinks police departments can look to Ohio to recommit themselves to missing person cases that have gone cold.
"You have to go back," Caison said. "And look at things now, you have to go back - go back over tips and go back and meet with investigators."
CUE says it will do the same as parents have been calling the organization after seeing the story of the Cleveland girls missing for almost 10 years return home alive.
